The movie Iron man started with Tony Stark going along with some soldiers in a car. He voiced out a joke with the soldier who is a woman and then so they were laughing when the army car in front of them exploded. The movie then went back 36 hours earlier, showing Tony as the best scientist and a very intelligent one at that. He had numerous achievements yet he doesn't give much attention for appreciation as what I've interpreted. He gambles and he doesn't care that much about others. When Tony was held captive by terrorist, he realized that his inventions such as the nuclear missile was with them. He, together with the best surgeon, was imprisoned in a solitary room to work on making a nuclear missile. Instead of making one, Tony with the help of the surgeon made a robot-like invention which can fire against the enemies and at the same, is bullet-proof. Tony was able to escape because of that. He returned and decided to close his company which is making nuclear weapons when he saw how destructive his inventions were. Obadiah Stane, his partner and former partner of his father, was angry about it. He is apparently selling these weapons to the terrorists without Tony knowing about it. He sought to destroy Tony. Tony then made an improvised robot-like invention of what he did in the cave. He tested its limits. Stane went to the camp of the terrorists and double crossed the leader of the terrorist through a 15 minute paralysis invention. He also used it to Tony after. Pepper, the ever loyal and somewhat lover of Tony, was instructed by Tony to download some informations from Stane's computer. Stane knew it so he then used the nerve paralysis invention to Tony, He also got the heart of Tony. Stane also made a robot-like invention, the same as Tony's. They then fought and with the help of Pepper, Tony succeeded in defeating Stane. The ending was a shocker, as Tony then admitted to all that he was the so-called "Iron Man". This movie really made me feel that I need to achieve something without even craving for appreciation. I felt the sincerity of Tony's acts to help the world. If only I could invent an iron man or any hero too for that matter, so that I could help others then I would. Reality bites. i couldn't do anything like that. Yet I know that in my own little ways, I could make a difference in this busy and indifferent world. If only people would stop being too self-centered then others would be given a chance to live life the way life must be live. Heroic plots of movies rekindled the saying "With great power comes great responsibility" but I dare say this is better than "no power and no responsibility"
God bless.
